Mohammadreza Esmaili, multimedia software assistant of Tebyan, referred to the preparation of 'Comprehensice Atlas of Shia History' for the next Quran Expo and added: "The National Geographical Organization of the Armed forces of Islamic Republic of Iran has recently sponsored the publication of comprehensive atlas of Shia history; this was pursued in a joint session with Mohammad Hassan Nami, head of National Geographical Organization, during which Tebyan Institute agreed on publication of software version of Comprehensive Atlas of Shia History."
He said the project has already started at Tebyan and remarked: "This software that is being designed according to world standards, has different functions like providing the most viable and authentic contents, charts, historical maps, two-dimensional maps of the shrines of the sacred family of the prophet (AS), historical monuments related with the history of Islam and their three-dimensional representations."
Esmaili continued: "Movement and scaling are among the features included in simulated models and the user can have access to related data and descriptive information while surveying the location from different perspectives."
The multimedia software assistant of Tebyan asserted: "Design, technologies and creation of the software has already begun and the modeling and simulation team are now designing historical monuments. After this the voicing process will begin in line with technical operations. And according to the work schedule the software will be unveiled in the next Quran Expo."
According to Esmaili, the Comprehensive Atlas of Shia History has lots of capabilities like applicability on portable tools like E-readers and cell phones.
He finally referred to the source of this software and said: "The main source is the 'Atlas of Shia', while we would also cite fine historical books like Dr Ali Akbar Velayati's "Role of Shia in the Culture and Civilization of Iran and Islam" in order to expand and enrich our final product. However, we do not suffice with these two books and any viable and rich book available might be cited."
